For as long as he can remember, Mr. Maso has had an adoration for all things aviation, and at age 10 he took his first flight lesson. Although he had not aspired to become a career pilot — eventually attending SMU, majoring in political science on a pre-law track — he remained current and continually earned his certificates and ratings throughout high school and college. In his late teens through early 20s, Mr. Maso worked multiple aviation jobs, initially as a freelance flight instructor. He later served in the right seat program at a 142 training center, and conducted aerial tour flights around downtown Dallas for his first commercial job.
After graduating from university, he decided to change his career trajectory to what he had truly been passionate for his whole life. He was soon hired as a captain and training instructor for a domestic part 135 (charter) operator, flying turboprops throughout the United States. In 2016, he began flying as a contract pilot for several years on the astrajet/G-100. In 2018, he obtained his first 121 (airline) job, flying cargo all over the world in one of his favorite aircraft - the Boeing 767. After 4 years of flying cargo, Mr. Maso was hired by a major airline and now flies the B737, where he intends to remain for the duration of his career. In November of 2023 he was instated as a Designated Pilot Examiner for the North Texas FSDO, and until the end of his tenure in December 2025, he conducted nearly 1,000 checkrides across the DFW, Colorado Springs, and San Fransisco areas.
Aa a North Texas native, Mr. Maso has been a staunch supporter of general aviation both locally and nationally, and has remained an active flight instructor & FAA Safety Team Rep. for over a decade.
Outside of aviation, Mr. Maso holds a bachelors degree from SMU, is trilingual, and travels often, having been to 55 countries and all 50 US states. He volunteers his time and is a donor for several education-related organizations in North Texas. For fun, he enjoys hiking, weight lifting, & spending time with friends and family.
Brandon Maso
Jackson began his aviation journey in March 2024 after sensing a clear calling to pursue a career in the skies. Shortly before this he had befriended Mr. Maso at his gym, who — once he was informed of Jackson’s new calling to aviation — helped guide him into flight training and connected him with a position at MillionAir Dallas. Within six months, Jackson transitioned into working full-time as Mr. Maso’s Operations Coordinator, where he helps manage and guide the team while continuing his own flight training. He currently holds a Private Pilot Certificate and is working toward his Instrument Rating.
Jackson is passionate about aviation not only as a career but also as a way to serve others with excellence, discipline, and integrity. He views his journey as one of stewardship — making the most of the opportunities given to him and pursuing growth in skill and character.
Beyond aviation, Jackson enjoys reading, gardening, playing the piano, working out, and woodworking.
